TERMS & CONDITIONS
CEREMONY AND REHEARSAL
We will arrange a ceremony rehearsal time for you and your bridal party, not to exceed one hour. It is required that you provide your
own ceremony coordinator for both the rehearsal and day of ceremony.
Hotel is not responsible for damage or loss of any items brought into the Hotel, or for any items left unattended.
TASTINGS
Food tastings can be conducted at the request of the contact or client for plated menus only. We recommend scheduling tastings at least
3-4 months prior to your event date. Please contact your catering representative for scheduling and guidelines regarding food tastings.
All tastings require at least 2 weeks prior notice and will be charged at prevailing menu prices per person plus service charge and
applicable tax.
PAYMENT AND DEPOSITS
Securing your Wedding Date: Upon selection of your wedding date, a contract agreement will be prepared and your date will be
confirmed upon receipt of your deposit.
Deposits are based on 30% of the combined food and beverage minimum, taxable service charge, applicable taxes and rental fees for the
event space reserved. Deposits are non-refundable and non-date transferable. All banquet charges are subject to applicable taxes and
service charge (currently 23% service charge and 8.25% sales tax) in effect on the date(s) of the event. The Sacramento Marriott requires
full pre-payment 5 business days prior to event. Full payment must be paid with cash, money order or credit card. Checks are not
permitted for full payment unless they are received 14 days prior to event. If paying with check, cash or cashier’s check a credit card
must be on file for any overages that may occur on the night of the event.
WEDDING CAKE
You are responsible for providing your own wedding cake. Outside bakeries must show proof of business license & insurance policy for
the hotel to keep on site. Cake layers that bride and groom wish to save for their one year anniversary can only be left at hotel overnight
and must be picked up the following morning. Cake knives, stands, toppers, collectibles must be taken the night of the event. Hotel is
not responsible for damages or loss of any items brought into the Hotel, or for any items left unattended.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE SELECTIONS
Food and beverage selections must be finalized and confirmed 4 –6 weeks prior to the date of your wedding. Your final guest count or
guarantee is due five business days prior to the wedding or one week with choice entrée selection. This will be considered a guarantee,
for which you will be charged even if fewer guests attend the event.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUMS
A food and beverage minimum will apply to all contracted events. Labor charges, set-up fees, audio-visual equipment, amenities, service charge, sales
tax and miscellaneous charges are billed in addition to and do not apply to the food and beverage minimums. The minimum applies only
to food and beverage served and consumed in the contracted event time and event venue. Food and beverage ordered and/or
consumed in other venues within the Hotel or in times outside the contracted event times will be charged in addition to and do not
apply to the minimums. In the event the food and beverage minimums are not met, the difference will be charged to the final bill.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE EXCLUSIVITY
The Hotel must provide all food and beverages. Outside food or beverage items may not be brought into the Hotel for meetings, events
or private dining functions. The Hotel will assist in sourcing any special menu items not offered on our menus, at an additional charge,
based on availability. All food and beverage consumed in the Hotel’s function space must be supplied by and prepared by the Hotel. In
addition, no remaining food and beverage shall be removed from the premises. At the conclusion of the function, such food and
beverage becomes property of the Hotel. If outside food or beverage is found to be brought in, a fee of $1,000.00 will be charged.
